Miguel Castro Caldas. He writes plays, has developed dramaturgy for shows, occasionally translates and teaches in the Theater degree at ESAD and in the Post-Graduation in the Arts of Writing at FCSH. He has the title of Specialist in Performing Arts and is preparing a PhD in the Theory of Literature program at FLUL. Some of his texts are published in the Livrinhos de Teatro series by Artistas Unidos, in Ambar, in Douda Correria, in Mariposa Azual, in Culturgest, in Primeiros Symptoms, and in the magazines Artistas Unidos, Fatal and Blimunda. He recently published the anthology Se eu vivesse tu morrias and other texts (2018, Imprensa Universitária de Coimbra) and Enseada (2019, Douda Correria). He translated Samuel Beckett, Harold Pinter, Ali Smith, William Maxwell, John Kolvenbach, Joyce Carol Oates, Salman Rushdie, Senel Paz, Tennessee Williams, among others. He won an Honorable Mention in 2005 for his work as a playwright by the Association of Theater Critics and the SPA 2017 award for best Portuguese performed text with Se eu vivesse tu morrias. Some of his texts are translated into Spanish, French, Hungarian, English and Italian.
