MONITORING & REPORT
Check (*) here the follow up and monitoring reports, which were presented to the General Council, concerning the 2019-2023 Strategic Plan of the University of Coimbra. These reports enable to assess the progress, the level of accomplishment and deviations from the objectives set in the beginning, as well as the impact of actions and the developed initiatives, thus providing guiding data for the assessment and decision making.
The Report is accomplished by means of the annual monitoring reports (complemented by intermediate reports, referring to the first semester of each year), including the regular analysis of the evolution concerning each one of the goals defined for the University of Coimbra, according to pillars and mission axes and sustainability and social responsibility area.
Furthermore, the continuous and close follow up is carried out concerning the forces of change, trends and uncertainties of the external context – whether it is regional, national or global – and supported by a set of precursor indicators that endeavour to characterise and give a quantifiable shape to different aspects. This will enable to identify and assess risks, anticipate deviations and ensure foundations for the decision making.
Besides these components and the analysis of the implementation of the Rector’s Action Plan, which systematises the main actions to be taken at the institutional level designed to implement the strategic initiatives, you can find in the report:
- the assessment of the performance of the main actions defined in the Strategic Plan;
- the evolution of the results achieved by the Units and Services – Organisational Units, Cultural Extension and Training Support Units, Social Services and Administration – concerning each one of the defined goals, including the performances systematised according to pillars, axes and areas, thus enabling the observation of the strategy defined by each of them in order to achieve the common goals.
- the degrees of implementation and the results achieved within the scope of the actions defined by each Unit and Service, within the scope of their action plans, complemented by graphical analysis and brief analysis of the evolution, assessing and justifying deviations.
