ACTION PLANS
The Strategic Plan, as per the statutory framework, is complemented by the Action Plan. This document outlines the key actions to be carried out by the Rector’s Team at the institutional level, aimed at implementing the strategic guidelines set for the 2023-2027 quadrennium.
Achieving the proposed goals relies not only on these actions but also on the successful alignment of the goals and actions of the Action Plans of organic units, other units and services. Each plan contains its specific scoreboards of indicators, targets and actions, duly aligned with the higher levels, which cascade down to the lower levels of evaluation.
The Quality Plan, directly linked to the Quality Mission Axis, provides key guidelines for improving processes and services across each of the Mission Pillars and Axes. By integrating concrete actions, goals and indicators, the information gathered through monitoring within the evaluation and follow-up cycle will serve as a management and quality improvement tool, contributing to the optimisation of the University of Coimbra's Management System. The challenges faced by higher education institutions in quality assessment require effective resource planning. Defining a Quality Plan aligned and integrated with the Strategic Plan, allows efforts to be directed towards the implementation of the most appropriate initiatives to address the current and future challenges of the University of Coimbra.
The Sustainability and Social Responsibility Plan, which builds on previous strategic planning cycles, includes concrete actions, targets, and indicators. The information gathered through monitoring is integrated into the evaluation and monitoring cycle and serves as a management and improvement tool for each area of sustainable development. Aligned with the Strategic Plan, it channels efforts towards implementing the most suitable initiatives to address both current and future challenges faced by UC.
