Reaction to fire: Gross heat of combustion test
Assessment of the gross heat of combustion of products at constant volume in a bomb calorimeter.
The calorimeter test (also called calorimetric bomb or heat of combustion), whose test procedure is described in ISO 1716:2018, aims to determine the calorific value of a homogeneous product, or substantial components of a non-homogeneous product, under constant volume and from the combustion in an oxygen atmosphere of a specimen of that product. In this test, the gross heat of combustion (PCS) of a product is then meausred.
