Tensile testing of metallic materials

Determination of the mechanical properties of metallic materials at room temperature.

The test involves straining test specimens by tensile force, generally to fracture, for the determination of the mechanical properties listed on the ISO 6892-1:2019, including the yield strength, tensile strength, percentage yield point extension values, percentage plastic extension at maximum force, percentage elongation after fracture, percentage reduction of area, and so on.
