Where knowledge and tradition meet
We are one of SASUC's support services available to the UC community, with priority vacancies for the children of students, teachers, researchers and members of the UC technical staff, but we also offer vacancies for candidates with no ties to the UC.
To teach, to stimulate and to challenge all of our children towards healthy development, based on a pedagogical project that includes the dimensions of sustainability, heritage and culture.
We value daily living with nature and our surrounding community, as well as all the positive experiences they can provide.
With more than 50 years of existence, the SASUC Nursery and Kindergarten are a reference in the city of Coimbra. We focus on the development of the child as a whole, working every school year, in a dynamic and evolutionary way, always putting the children's needs first, valuing daily living with nature and the surrounding community, as well as all the positive experiences they can provide.
Nursery: Step by step, with love
We pride ourselves on providing children, with not only the care related to hygiene, nutrition, safety, comfort and well-being, but also with an active educational component, guided by specialized professionals who, through their practices and pedagogical methods, seek to stimulate the comprehensive and harmonious development of children, respecting their characteristics and needs.
Kindergarten: To listen and give voice to the children
Our Kindergarten is a place where little ones have the opportunity to learn and develop in different aspects: physical, emotional, social and cognitive. The rooms, filled with toys, games and educational materials, encourage exploration and discovery. In addition to the daily activities at the Kindergarten, children have the opportunity to experience different areas of knowledge, such as art, music and science, and also hands-on activities, stimulating their curiosity and creativity.
