Convictions
We have our own socio-constructivist approach: Crescer UC. We work to develop:
- Emergent curriculum, built based on children's interests and motivations;
- Multiprojects in which children, in interaction, support their learning;
- Participatory Pedagogy, in which children autonomously construct meanings through experience and exploration of the environment;
- Documentation, which contextualizes and reflects on learning;
- Representative development that is evident in the presentation of concepts and hypotheses through multiple forms of representation;
- Teamwork, prioritizing collaboration between child-child, child-adult and adult-adult pairs;
- Educators as researchers who develop the curriculum according to participatory research/action principles;
- Outdoor space as a “third educator”, providing challenges and new forms of interaction with the environment.
