ATHENE

ATHENE Citizen Science as a methodology for promoting development skills in children and young people

Start date: 01-09-2024

End date: 31-08-2027

ATHENE is conceived as a methodological tool in which students, teachers and researchers work together on curricular content, grounded in the principles of engaged citizen social science. It will be made available on an open-access digital platform, incorporating modules for self-directed learning, support resources, training activities and e-portfolios. Its main aim is to foster autonomy and motivation for learning among children and young people, by valuing their knowledge and experiences, encouraging reflection on the skills acquired, empowering them to take an active role in their own pathways and as mentors for others, and promoting critical thinking, initiative, autonomy and the creation of innovative actions throughout their educational and professional trajectories.
