Performance Appraisal
Performance Appraisal is a tool that aims to know, measure and evaluate the performance of employees, by comparing the performance expected and the performance achieved. It is a process that allows, on the one hand, the improvement of competence development of the person being evaluated in their role and, on the other hand, the collection of important indicators for the evaluation of the institution itself in relation to its overall objectives and the need for potential changes.
At the UC, performance appraisal is carried out in accordance with SIADAP (Integrated System of Performance Management and Appraisal in Public Administration), approved by Law 66-B/2007 of 28 December, in its current wording, which applies to the services of the direct and indirect administration of the State for technical staff, and in accordance with the ECDU (University Teacher Career Statute) for teaching staff.
