Applications for the 7th edition of the UC 'Seed Projects for Interdisciplinary Research' open in October

The University of Coimbra (UC) is set to launch the seventh edition of the 'Interdisciplinary Research Seed Projects' competition, supported by the Santander Portugal Foundation. Applications can be submitted from 6 October to 6 November.

The initiative supports teams led by early-career researchers (with up to ten years of experience since completing their PhD) proposing interdisciplinary projects aligned with UC’s Strategic Areas, fostering scientific independence and leadership skills.

A total of €100,000 will be awarded to five projects, with €20,000 allocated to each winning team.

As in previous editions, the call encourages collaboration across different scientific fields. Each team must include researchers from at least two distinct UC research units.
