GPS Program

International students enrolled in the 2nd to 5th years of Bachelor's or Integrated Master's degree programs, registered for the current academic year, are eligible.

GPS volunteer profile:

• Interest and sensitivity to intercultural interaction;
• Communication and interpersonal skills, cordial and affable manner;
• Sense of responsibility, commitment, and availability;
• Motivation to support the integration of new colleagues;
• Residence in Coimbra during the academic year;
• Be a UC student in the 2025/2026 academic year.

What we offer:

The Student Hub ensures the matching of volunteers and international students, preferably from the same course or field of study. In addition, it provides training, guidance, and support to volunteers, preparing them to perform the tasks of reception, welcoming, and integration of new students.

New international students enrolling at UC in the 2025/26 academic year will receive a notification inviting them to participate as beneficiaries of this support.
