This course aims to strengthen or acquire key mathematics subjects that are usually taught at the level of the basic and secondary education of Portuguese school programmes.

The subjects concerning Mathematics A in Secondary Education in Portugal will be approached.

• Geometry
• Functions
• Statistics
• Probabilities and Combinatorial Calculation
• Complex numbers

COURSE:

• Duration: 81 hours (distributed over 5 months)
• Asynchronous Online: 53 hours (estimation of 1 hour of daily effort)
• Synchronous Online: 22 hours divided into 2-hour sessions (17:30-19:30 PT)
• Face-to-face: 6 hours divided into 2 sessions (Thursdays morning – 09:00; Fridays afternoon – 15:00)

The National Mathematics A exams will take place during the undermentioned periods:

• 1^st phase – second fortnight of June 2025
• 2^nd phase – second fortnight of July 2025

This course aims to strengthen or acquire key Portuguese language subjects that are usually taught at the level of the basic and secondary education of Portuguese school programmes. It also aims to strengthen the structuring fields of language learning: orality, reading, literary education, writing and grammar.

* the themes will be approached taking into consideration the domains of literary reading; reading, orality and writing; and grammar.

COURSE:

Schedule: from 1^st February to 18^th July 2025

Synchronous online: 22 hours divided into 2-hour biweekly sessions (Saturdays) (time to be confirmed but it does not coincide with the course of mathematics)

Face-to-face: 6 hours divided into 2 sessions in the week before the exam (Thursday morning – 09:00; Friday afternoon – 15:00)

Additional face-to-face (complementary, for the 2nd phase’s exam only): 6 hours divided into 2 sessions in the week preceding the exam (Thursday morning – 09:00; Friday afternoon – 15:00)

Mandatory exam for all courses as from the 2024-2025 academic year

The Portuguese National exams will take place during the undermentioned periods:

• 1^st phase – second fortnight of June 2025
• 2^nd phase – second fortnight of July 2025
