Mercadinho da Margem Esquerda to take place on April 13th

The Mercadinhos da Margem Esquerda are back, now every second Sunday of the month. In April, the meeting is scheduled for next Sunday, the 13th, in the UC Exploratório boulevard, between 10am and 6pm, in an event where everyone can find a wide variety of food products, buying directly from those who produce them.

Focussing on proximity and the presentation and sale of local, fresh and cooked, varied and quality food products, the Mercadinhos da Margem Esquerda include a strong component of involvement with science and knowledge, accessible to all audiences.

Next to the Pet Lab, in sessions at 11am and 2.30pm, there will be an Expedition to the parasites that bite, an activity in which the Vasco da Gama University School (EUVG) and veterinarian Sérgio Sousa invite you to explore the world of parasites.

In this fifth edition of the Mercadinhos, we will once again have the presence of the Rural Development and Agri-Food Unit of the Centre's Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDRC), which will present the recently launched Regional Competition for School Gardens, ‘Super Horta Escolar’, aimed at pre-school and primary schools.

In the rocket ship outside the UC Exploratório, we are offering all visitors the chance to take part in mini pizza workshops, made with mostly organic products in a very special oven and led by Filipa Ramos.
