The Office for Sustainable Development performs its duties in the areas of sustainability and social responsibility, supporting the definition and implementation of institutional strategy, promoting internal coordination, performance monitoring and reporting, and contributing to the mobilisation of the university community and stakeholders, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the strategic commitments of the University of Coimbra.

• Support the definition, implementation and monitoring of the institutional strategy for sustainability and social responsibility;
• Internal coordination and promotion of consistency in the policies, measures, initiatives and actions of the University of Coimbra;
• Monitoring of institutional performance, including the collection, systematisation and analysis of indicators, as well as the preparation and coordination of institutional reporting on sustainability;
• Development, participation and monitoring of studies, projects and working groups in the field of sustainable development;
• Institutional representation of UC in national and international networks, observatories and forums, ensuring coordination with partners;
• Dissemination of relevant information, of good practices and promotion of awareness-raising, training and mobilisation actions for the university community and external stakeholders.
