Strengthen support for capacity building for developing countries in the areas in which the University of Coimbra operates, reinforcing the role of higher education institutions in North-South cooperation and territorial cohesion.

Promote the presence and involvement of the University of Coimbra in initiatives, multisectoral partnerships with organisations, governments and other stakeholders and in local, national and global networks for joint intervention and sharing of knowledge and best practices, especially, but not exclusively, in the promotion of sustainable development.

Ensuring the Code of Ethics guides the conduct of action in all partnerships, even outside its premises. This includes helping partner organisations in challenging contexts, respecting their autonomy and leadership, and promoting ethical collaborations that contribute to sustainable development.

The University of Coimbra develops and intensifies synergies through the establishment of bilateral strategic partnerships and participation in collaborative networks that contribute to sustainable development.
The University of Coimbra's stakeholder mapping is reviewed regularly as part of the definition of a new Strategic and Action Plan and, if necessary, annually when the University of Coimbra's Management System Processes are updated. This process also includes an assessment of their needs.
Many of the initiatives developed at the University of Coimbra are carried out in conjunction with various organisations: public, private, from similar and different sectors of activity, local, national and international.
