Fight against Smoking at the University of Coimbra
The University of Coimbra promotes a healthy academic environment, free from the risks associated with tobacco and passive smoking, protecting the physical and psychological well-being of all members of its community, both internal and external.
The University of Coimbra takes a stand against the consumption of tobacco products:
- In all indoor spaces of the institution
- In open spaces on the university campus, including entrances, courtyards, gardens, and parking lots
- In official vehicles of the institution
- During events promoted by the institution
This policy applies to all tobacco products and similar devices (conventional cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco, pipes, and any smoking or vaping device), covering the act of smoking, vaping, or using tobacco in any form.
We rely on everyone's cooperation to keep the University of Coimbra and all its facilities healthy and smoke-free, in accordance with current legislation and internal regulations.
