SDG 5 | Gender Equality

Our commitment

  • Promote, in institutional practices and policies, a balanced gender representation in the different pillars and axes of mission, at the most diverse levels, namely scientific, academic, management and decision-making, mitigating horizontal and vertical segregation, promoting the integration of women and men in scientific/study areas where they are under-represented, removing institutional barriers to progression and supporting career development and ensuring inclusivity in governance bodies.

  • Improve the reconciliation of work/study and personal and family life by promoting measures that enable the realisation of individual and collective well-being processes and reconcile generality and particularity in the best possible way.

  • Comply with the rules applicable to the protection of whistleblowers, guaranteeing the right to confidentiality and anonymity of their identity, as well as the information that directly or indirectly enables them to be deduced, legal protection in general terms, and prohibiting acts of retaliation.

  • Promoting the inclusion and protection of minorities, preventing discrimination and combating harassment and violence at all levels (sexual, sexist and moral).

  • Integrate the gender perspective and the principles of equality, equity and diversity in all scientific areas, in educational and research content, as components of academic excellence, deepening these themes to raise awareness in the community, continuously implementing improvement measures.
