Bioinformatics platform equipped with software tools for genome assembly and analysis, enabling researchers to delve deep into the genetic make-up of different organisms. This software suite enables comprehensive data processing, including genome assembly from raw sequencing data, annotation of genomic features and identification of genetic variation. With access to extensive sequence databases, researchers can compare genomic data with existing genetic information from a wide range of species, facilitating insights into evolutionary relationships, functional genomics and population genetics.
Access to long-term datasets, including data analysis with adequate modelling techniques, with more than 20 years of periodic samples of benthic invertebrates, plankton and fish identified at the species level from the Mondego estuary, Portugal. Sample colleciton also includes otoliths on juvenile fish for determining age and ontogenic development. These datasets are particularly well-suited for advanced research on species and/or communities climate-driven responses. The ACOI algae database contains information on more than 4000 strains collected and isolated from different Portuguese environments (freshwater, brackish water, marine, soil and air) since the 1970s.
