Applications for special status for students with Special Educational Needs open until 31 March
Deadline to apply for SEN status for the 2nd semester runs until the end of the month.
Since the University of Coimbra is committed to integrating all students into its academic environment, the Social Services of the University of Coimbra (SASUC) provides support mechanisms for students with special educational needs. These services assess those needs and define strategies for these students' appropriate social and academic integration.
Students in need of this support, provided for in the Academic Regulations of the University of Coimbra, can request a personal interview to assess the educational and social difficulties they face in the academic context and define strategies and measures that will enable them to overcome the obstacles identified.
Requests should be sent by email to gabadmin@sas.uc.pt and should include information such as full name, student number and phone number. They will then be contacted to arrange an interview.
In addition to individual support for these students, SASUC provides alternative format teaching materials produced by the Centre for the Production of Accessible Materials, now based in 'Student Hub'.
