Under the motto "Knowing how to plant the future", the Botanical Garden of the University of Coimbra (JBUC) resumes the environmental awareness project UC.Plantas, aimed at new UC students, to promote integration into the academic community through science.

This academic year, there are 250 native plants, trees and shrubs to be adopted and cared for by 1st year students of the University of Coimbra (UC). Besides monitoring the growth of the adopted plant, the UC Botanical Garden also organises several volunteering activities throughout the year.

UC freshers interested in adopting a plant can fill in and submit this online form until 24 October (6 pm)

Plants will be handed over to students on 24 October, at 6 pm, at the UC Botanical Garden.
