Coimbra Invest Summit 2025 to be held in July
The event aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem to attract national and international investment to the city.
Coimbra reaffirms its position as a leading centre of innovation and investment in Portugal with the 2025 edition of the Coimbra Invest Summit (Coimbra IS). The 3rd edition of Coimbra IS, organised by the Coimbra City Council in partnership with the University of Coimbra (UC), the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (IPC), the Pedro Nunes Institute (IPN) and iParque, will take place on the 2nd and 3rd of July at Convento São Francisco.
Launched in 2023 and already a benchmark, the event continues its mission to strengthen Coimbra's entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem while enhancing its appeal to national and international investors, with a special focus on the Tech, Health, Space and Tourism clusters.
As in the two previous editions, the first day will be an exclusive, invitation-only event featuring key moments such as the meeting of the Municipal Strategic Council for the Development of Coimbra, activities for the Coimbra Ambassadors Network, and the Business Merit Recognition Gala
The second day, open to the public with pre-registration, will feature a dynamic programme of panel discussions, lectures, workshops and networking opportunities. Coimbra IS will conclude with a vibrant sunset party, celebrating Coimbra's innovative spirit and the best of summer.
One of the highlights of the Coimbra Invest Summit 2025 will be the final of Ineo Start, an acceleration programme for technology-based ideas and projects promoted by the Pedro Nunes Institute (IPN). This four-week initiative provides participants with access to specialised workshops, expert mentoring, and networking opportunities, aiming to help them build business structures, expand their networks, and secure funding.
The 2024 edition of the Coimbra Invest Summit was a great success, attracting over 1,000 participants. According to a satisfaction survey conducted by the organisers, 58.2% rated the experience as excellent and 36.4% as good, with 100% recommending the event to friends and colleagues.
The Coimbra Invest Summit 2025 will strengthen the Technology, Health and Space clusters while adding the Tourism cluster, all of which are strategic sectors for the development of the city and the region.
