EC2U – the European Campus of City-Universities – is now accepting applications for its Lifelong Learning Courses for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Applications are open until next Monday, 12 January.

The initiative is open to students from EC2U partner universities — the University of Coimbra (Portugal), the University of Poitiers (France), Friedrich Schiller University Jena (Germany), Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași (Romania), the University of Salamanca (Spain), the University of Pavia (Italy), the University of Turku (Finland), Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria) and Umeå University (Sweden) — and offers the opportunity to attend interdisciplinary, international courses focused on developing transferable skills and soft skills aligned with labour market demands.

Interested students should consult the course catalogue, available via this link. Applications must be submitted aqui.

Most courses are taught in English, although some may be delivered in the host institution’s official language. Online courses can be taken as an extracurricular activity, while in-person courses may, in some cases, be included in an Erasmus+ Learning Agreement, in line with the regulations of the student’s home university.

Courses are available in different formats: online (synchronous or asynchronous) and in person at EC2U partner universities.

The programme is aligned with the United Nations 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), covering areas such as Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3), Quality Education (SDG 4), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11) and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16).

Please note that credits and workload vary depending on the course and the institution, and that no financial support is available for travel or accommodation for in-person courses.
