EC2U to host workshop for PhD students on using AI tools in research
The 'AI Tools in Scientific Research' workshop is taking place online on 10 November and is open to EC2U PhD students.
The workshop “AI Tools in Scientific Research” will be held online from 10:00 to 13:00 (Portugal time). It is free and open to PhD students from EC2U – the European Campus of City-Universities, and requires prior registration here.
Organised by the EC2U Virtual Institute for Sustainable Cities and Communities - led by the University of Coimbra, the session will cover topics such as the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education and research, and conducting literature reviews with AI.
At a time when AI is transforming the way research is conducted, the workshop offers participants practical guidance on using AI effectively throughout the research process, from literature reviews and analysis of complex datasets to disseminating results to wider audiences.
The event also aims to strengthen the EC2U PhD Networks, a collaborative platform for EC2U PhD students to exchange ideas and build connections around shared research interests within the EC2U Virtual Institutes.
EC2U brings together nine European universities: University of Coimbra (Portugal), University of Poitiers (France), Friedrich Schiller University Jena (Germany), Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi (Romania), University of Salamanca (Spain), University of Pavia (Italy), University of Turku (Finland), Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria), and Umeå University (Sweden).
