The initiative will take place on 20 September and aims to bring science closer to the community in a relaxed environment for all ages.
'Picnic Com Saúde @CBR' (Healthy Picnic @Coimbra) is back for its fourth edition, bringing science, health, literacy, music and fun to the Health Sciences Campus of the University of Coimbra. On 20 September, the community will have the opportunity to engage with science in a relaxed environment for all ages, as part of an initiative promoted by the Coimbra Institute for Clinical and Biomedical Research and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra (FMUC).
The programme includes talks on 'The Impact of Mobile Phones and Social Networks on Mental Health' and 'How to Combat Scientific Misinformation'. There will also be workshops on healthy cooking and basic life support, physical activity and wellness sessions, guided tours of the iCBR laboratories, and many other activities. There will also be plenty of music and entertainment. Food and drink will also be available for purchase on site.
