UC Exploratório launches 'Talking Brains'
The interactive exhibition on the linguistic brain opens on 13 March at noon at the UC Exploratório.
'Talking Brains – Programmed to Talk' is the next major exhibition at UC Exploratório – Centro Ciência Viva. This international and interactive exhibition explores the complexity of the linguistic brain, offering insights into language and its evolution over time.
The inauguration will take place on Thursday, 13 March, at noon at the UC Exploratório, in a ceremony attended by the Rector of the University of Coimbra (UC), Amílcar Falcão, the Curator of the 'la Caixa' | BPI Foundation, Artur Santos Silva, and the Director of the UC Exploratório – Living Science Centre, Paulo Trincão. The exhibition is part of a collaboration agreement between la Caixa | BPI Foundation and the University of Coimbra through the UC Exploratório.
A collaboration protocol between these organisations will be signed at the Opening, which will also be attended by Ana Feijó, Regional Director of the 'la Caixa' Foundation, and Javier Hidalgo, Scientific Exhibitions Director of the 'la Caixa' Foundation.
The event will feature the performance Music and the Brain: A Sound Dialogue by Duo Ritornello, Clara Dias and António Ramos.
Talking Brains will be open to the public until February 2026, during the regular opening hours of the UC Exploratório. As part of the agreement, the centre will also host the exhibitions Mirrors in 2026 and Printing 3D in 2027.
