UC organises 3rd international CEES conference
The event will take place from 11 to 13 June in Bari, Italy.
The University of Coimbra (UC), in collaboration with ITecons and the Polytechnic University of Bari, is organising the third International Conference on Construction, Energy, Environment and Sustainability (CEES 2025), which will be held from 11 to 13 June in Bari, Italy.
Patrícia Pereira da Silva, the UC Vice-Rector for Planning, Sustainability and Quality, is one of the keynote speakers and will deliver the lecture Sustainable Universities: Governance, Energy and Environmental Approaches, presenting the University of Coimbra’s innovative whole-school approach to sustainability, which integrates sustainable development into organisations through their missions, institutional policies, and leaders' commitment.
This involves restructuring curricula, revising research programmes, introducing new ways of living on campus and promoting community engagement, all the while continuously evaluating and reporting on these activities to stakeholders.
Patrícia Pereira da Silva will also moderate the session Climate Change and Urban Strategies to Mid-Century, featuring Professor Jeffrey Sachs from Columbia University, USA.
