The University of Coimbra Games (JUC) aim to promote sport and physical activity among students, former students, teachers, non-teaching staff and researchers at the University of Coimbra (UC), students in the 11th and 12th year of secondary school and the 2nd and 3rd year of vocational education, promoting socialization and the acquisition of regular habits of physical activity and sport.
This event is also intended to train UC students and contribute to their professional growth, granting access to the organization of this event to around 6 students per year for a total of 50 hours of training.
This organization is promoted in 9 sports, in both genders and/or mixed. The use of the Coimbra University Stadium's infrastructures aims to enhance the University's sporting heritage by putting it at the service of sport.
The JUC are organized into 7 leagues, each aimed at a specific target audience.
