Provision of Specialized Services
The UC establishes contracts, collaborations, partnerships and networks with the community, at regional, national and international level, with the most diverse players in the economic, social and cultural sectors, contributing to the dissemination and application of knowledge.
One of the University of Coimbra's institutional duties is to develop activities that connect with society, namely the dissemination and transfer of knowledge, as well as the economic valorization of scientific knowledge. Thus, through its members, laboratories, and/or organic units, the UC provides services to the community such as:
- Training services;
- Laboratory analysis;
- Consultancy services, including technical-scientific opinions (drug testing, fieldwork);
- Translation services;
- Participation in lectures and conferences;
- Revision of manuals.
UC Business supports the UC community in carrying out this work by receiving proposals from its members and/or companies, analyzing, processing and forwarding these proposals to the UC Administration, which is responsible for carrying out the activities and managing the finances.
