How Does the Programme Work?

This is an ongoing programme and is divided into several phases.

1 – Registration of Tutors and Tutees

  • Peer tutoring: registration takes place on a semester basis;

  • Pre-university tutoring: registration takes place on an annual basis.

2 – Tutor Training

Tutors are offered training opportunities to support them in their tutoring role, as well as team-building activities to foster collaboration and engagement.

3 – Matching

The Step by Step team matches Tutors and Tutees and facilitates the first contact between students. Ongoing support and monitoring of the volunteer’s work are provided throughout the year.

4 – Monitoring

Continuous follow-up throughout the year, along with periodic satisfaction assessments of participants.

5 – Forum

An event that brings together new testimonials from those involved in the project, aiming to present the Programme to new students.
