Não há professor que substitua o viajar. Os alunos que passam um ou dois semestres no estrangeiro voltam com um renovado sentido de cidadania num mundo cada vez menor, e com um espírito de partilha adquirido em países delimitados por fronteiras e por vezes oceanos.

Uma experiência internacional pode melhorar a capacidade de adaptação e desenvolvimento de outras competências indispensáveis num ambiente sujeito a alterações constantes. Os alunos podem estudar em permuta, pagando as propinas na instituição de origem e adquirem créditos no âmbito do plano curricular da Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade de Coimbra.

Welcome to the Faculty of Pharmacy – University of Coimbra

We welcome you to the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Coimbra! Here you will find important information to help you get started as an Erasmus student.

Registration and Study Plan

  • During your scheduled meeting at StudentHub (Pole I), you will receive confirmation of your registration at the University of Coimbra. This is when your name will appear in the system under each curricular unit.
  • Please check the Faculty of Pharmacy website in advance so you can organize your study plan and avoid timetable conflicts.
  • Registration for laboratorial (PL) and theoretical-practical (TP) classes is mandatory. Changes may take a few days to be updated in the system.
  • For theoretical classes, registration is not required.
  • Some practical classes (PL or TP) require in-person registration at the Academic Services, located in the building opposite the Faculty.

Courses and Timetables

  • Certain subjects, especially those belonging to specialized Master’s programs (e.g. Food Safety, Applied Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Clinical Analysis. Pharmaceutical Technology), may start later in the semester, so they may not appear in your schedule upon your arrival. Their timetables may not be immediately available, so please contact the respective Master’s Coordinator for details. You have this information in FFUC website.

Learning Agreement (LA)

  • To save time and avoid mistakes, please send both your home university Erasmus form and the University of Coimbra form at the same time when making changes to your Learning Agreement.
  • This will help prevent delays or misunderstandings, as happened in past years.
  • You can make changes in your LA up to one month after your arrival!
  • Consider this form for make any changes you need. Note that, before you make any changes, these must be approved and duly signed by your home ERASMUS Coordinator. Afterwards, this must be also signed by you and one of Incoming Erasmus Coordinators.

Class Attendance

  • If you cannot finalize your timetable right away (e.g. due to overlapping classes, pending approval from your Erasmus coordinator, or waiting for your meeting at StudentHub), we recommend that you start attending the classes you intend to follow.
  • Please inform the teaching staff about your situation so they are aware of the pending changes.

Welcome Session

  • A Welcome Session for Erasmus Students will take place usually at the end of September.
  • During this event, the Incoming Erasmus Coordinators will provide you with all the essential information for your stay.
