Resumo
In this paper I will look at how publishing a letterpress pamphlet series offers opportunities to read in unique and surprising ways. I will begin with some general observations regarding letterpress printing and its connection to various writing practices, before moving on to my experience as a reader and printer, using examples of my own printing history and others’ to explain some of the many different points of access to the activity of reading that printing has given me. I will attempt to ground my paper in both historical and theoretical discourses as well as offering an extensive account of the workings of my own press, The Crater Press.
