Brain Awareness Week 2021

Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is an international campaign to foster public enthusiasm and support for brain research. BAW is coordinated internationally by the DANA Foundation and Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS). Nationally, BAW is promoted by Sociedade Portuguesa de Neurociências (SPN) and Ciência Viva.

This year, we are celebrating BAW from March 15 to 30, promoting several activities including visits to schools, open labs and Science cafes. All the CIBB researchers are invited to be part of BAW 2021.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2021 we are only conducting online sessions (via Zoom).

European Researchers Night

Programme for 2018:

This year, the science festival will take place on September 28th in several European cities, and the researchers from the CIBB (CNC + iCBR-FMUC) consortium will be working together with the public at the Science Museum (MCUC) and the Botanical Garden ( JBUC).

De 19 a 30 de novembro, os investigadores do CNC e do ICBR - Coimbra Institute for Clinical and Biomedical Research levam a ciência a todos vocês, através de várias iniciativas: - Visitas a Escolas (19 a 30 de novembro) - Laboratórios Abertos (19 a 30 de novembro) - Cientistas nos Autocarros - "Brain Buskers" (19 a 23 de novembro, das 10h às 12h) - 12º PubhD Coimbra (22 de novembro, às 22h no Aqui Base Tango).
