Postpartum women who are not at an immediate risk of developing postpartum depression still face several challenges that may have a negative effect in their mental well-being, such as dealing with child care tasks, changes in marital and social relationships and transitioning back to work.

E-mental health tools (e.g., web-based interventions) for mental health promotion (and consequently for disease prevention) can be delivered at a very low-cost and have long-term positive outcomes beyond the reduction of psychopathological symptoms, while also contributing to an efficient use of health services.

In this context, this project aims to assess the applicability and effectiveness of a web-based intervention for the promotion of mental health of non-risk postpartum women. Post-intervention improvements and long-term effects on individual, marital and maternal outcomes will be considered, along with the web-based program’s feasibility and usability, users’ satisfaction, as well as its cost-effectiveness.
