INNOVATION DAYS 2024

Cantanhede Innovation Days is an initiative organized by the Pedagogical Learning and Innovation project at UC, in collaboration with other entities in ​​Cantanhede within the scope of EIT Health. During Cantanhede i-Days, participants are challenged to solve real problems in the field of Health. At i-Days, participants have the opportunity to expand their skills in innovation, design thinking and presentation of business opportunities (pitching).

Cantanhede i-Days is an international educational initiative open to the participation of the entire academy. The following can participate: undergraduate, master or doctoral students, post-doc researchers, from any field of knowledge.

No. The event is free to attend. However, there is mandatory registration.

Only individual entries are accepted. Teams will be formed after registration. The constitution of the teams is based on the indication of the preference of each participant for the challenges presented and the formation of multidisciplinary teams will be privileged, that is, members of different areas of knowledge.

The event will take place on the 30th October and 3th of November, at Rovisco Pais Hospital

Transport will be provided from Coimbra to Tocha (Cantanhede) and back on both days of the event.

Cantanhede i-Days takes place in Portuguese and English. However, most of the content taught as well as the presentation of the teams during the Pitch Final will take place in English. In this sense, the intermediate level of English is suggested to the participants.

The organization of Cantanhede Innovation days, in a consultation with health agents in the region, compiled and selected some of the main problems facing the health system. These are real problems that lack real solutions that will be explored in multidisciplinary teams during the Cantanhede Innovation Days in order to try to propose solutions with a view to solving them.

We prefer that the participants work on the problems that have been identified because in this way we are sure that they are contributing to the resolution of issues that concern health agents. There are other initiatives promoted either by the UC or by its partners for the development of challenges proposed by the promoters themselves.
