Apresentação
Objetivo temático: The ALA Master's course aims to prepare highly qualified professionals in the enhancement of historical and archaeological heritage.
Síntese do Projeto: The organisation of the Master's Course provides for transdisciplinary cooperation between architects, landscape architects and archaeologists, a necessary condition to deal with contemporary challenges. Heritage and the environment are areas of work where pressures regarding tourism development, the consequences of climate change and the preservation of identity, from a development perspective, present new challenges to the global scientific community. In particular, the European Community is committed to the preservation and enhancement of cultural heritage, the promotion of innovative practices that encourage heritage integration and enable the sustainable development of cultural landscapes.
Heritage is a complex field that requires a collaborative, interdisciplinary and transnational approach. The Master offers an advanced educational path designed to prepare a highly qualified professional expert in dealing with the cultural and technical complexity of the enhancement projects for archaeological areas in urban and natural contexts. It is going to operate in layered cities and territories, respecting their historical and environmental values.
