The fourth edition of Research.com’s prestigious ranking of the world’s best scientists by discipline has been released, highlighting leading researchers whose work continues to shape the future of science and technology. The rankings are based on comprehensive bibliometric data consolidated from trusted sources such as OpenAlex and CrossRef, with citation metrics collected as of November 27, 2024.

The rankings are determined by the D-index (Discipline H-index), which reflects the impact of a scientist’s publications and citations within a specific field.
