Call for projects

Short-term training visits are designed to increase the experience of potential European Users and to provide special experimental skills and competencies in scientific areas related to the use of laser light sources, namely for Biomedical and Life Science Applications, to European scientists.
The activities aim to develop the user community, to reach new scientific sub-communities in a multi-disciplinary perspective and to enhance the efficient use of the facilities in this field. Training actions will cover topics in the fields of Laser analysis and manipulation of biological samples, advanced microscopy and bio-medical imaging.
Support for short-term training visits (typically 2 to 4 weeks) of scientists will be granted on the basis of applications for research projects which will be evaluated by a committee of experts. Applications should include a description of the research proposal, a statement on how the training will enable the applicant to enhance his/her own research programme, a C.V. and a list of publications. Applications are accepted from researchers or research teams based in one of the EU Member States or in one of the Associated Countries. User groups with a majority of users not working in a EU country are eligible to benefit from EC-funded access under the present call.
