Prof. Dirk Franco studied chemistry and obtained his PhD in organic chemistry in 1990. Since 1995 he has been program director of the postgraduate degree on Environment at the UHasselt. In 2014, he founded the unique postgraduate degree in Energy Efficiency Services within the PXL where technology, new business models and the need for communication are central pillars. He has recently also been co-coordinator of the new post-graduate Cleantech at UHasselt
