In-Person Assistance

The In-Person assistance in the UC is carried out by the Academic Management Services, which are responsible for the management of all the students' courses of study in the UC, from their application to their diplomas' issuance. It is located in 5 different Academic Centres and conforms to the Annual Assistance Schedule which is disseminated at the beginning of each calendar year.


The Academic Management Services inform that according to the guidelines given by the Portuguese Directorate-General of Health (DGS) in order to prevent and control the infection by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the In-Person Assistance is temporarily closed.

What is Online Assistance ?
This service enables students to leave the Academic Centres and monitor, by means of Internet, the status of the in-person assistance. This information is updated whenever one accesses this webpage (or whenever one updates the webpage by means of the F5 key). You are going to access a webpage whose content and layout are mobile-friendly.

Rules of Conduct for In-Person Assistance

  1. All the queues have the same priority (arrival time).
  2. There is only a tolerance margin of 3 tickets [you will not be served if your number is lower than 3 numbers below the last number that was called].
  3. If you are covered by a priority assistance situation provided for in the law, please choose the corresponding priority ticket (if available) or go to one of the assistance tables related to the subject that brought you to the academic centre, and explain your situation. You will be served immediatelly after the person that is being served at that moment.
  4. The provision of tickets will be limited (100 tickets is the daily reference value), whenever a high influx of students suggests that the in-person assistance will extend beyond the closing time of the Academic Centres.
  5. The schedule and closing periods of the Academic Centres will be disseminated at the end of each year, concerning the whole following year, displayed in each Academic Centre, and made available at this webpage (click each academic centre's link).
