1. The Student logs in to Inforestudante.
2. In the main menu, under Academic Service, click on Documents.
3. Select the course whose certificate you want to obtain, if you have more than one course.
4. Click on "Generate New Document Request"
5. Scroll down and at Multipurpose Certificate click on “Generate Request”
6. Select the academic year of the registration whose certificate you want.
7. Continue until the end of the procedure and then the certificate will be generated in a PDF file format.
8. Download and save the certificate whenever you want. It can be submitted electronically or in paper at any organisation, since its validation is carried out according to the instructions mentioned at the bottom of the document.

This document has the same validity of a printed document and it was generated following the agreement between the University and the 2010 SIMPLEX Programme*. For this reason, this document cannot be refused by any national organisation, in particular, public organisations.

Therefore, when you deliver your document in paper or by email, the organisation just has to:

1. Access the website https://verificacaodocumentos.uc.pt
2. Enter the Verification Key that is at the bottom of the document.
3. Click on "Authenticity Key Verification" and check if the received document has the same content of the document on the screen.

* 2010 SIMPLEX Programme, Measure M023 - Permanent certificate of higher education qualifications, within the 2010 Simplex Programme, which enables university students to obtain an electronic certificate, substituting the submission of printed copies by a code to access the qualifications certificate on-line in Portugal or abroad.

This document has the same validity as the printed document.

1. The immediate issuance of this document after the registration for an academic year, and its permanent availability at InforEstudante.
2. Its easier to send it to the different organisations that require a supporting document of registration (the student just needs to send/submit the file or the authentication code).
3. It will also contribute to a better use of material resources (paper, envelopes, and printers) and human resources of the University services.
