Special and Extraordinary Exams

On this webpage you may check information about the access to the Special and Extraordinary Examination Periods, as well as about the rights, according to the Academic Regulation of the UC (RAUC), which confer special situations such as student-worker, association leader, among others.

Extraordinary Examination Period – it is the first examination period in each academic year that takes place in October and March, exclusively for students covered by special benefits provided for in the Academic Regulation of the UC (RAUC).

Regular/Normal Examination Period – after the period of attendance, when classes’ period is finished, the assessment in this examination period takes place according to the type of assessment defined for each curricular unit: periodical or final assessment.

[+] The registration and procedures concerning these exams is handled at the Faculty or Department in which the curricular unit is delivered.

Supplementary Examination Period – an examination period associated with each academic year period (1st semester and 2nd semester/annual), which takes place after the Regular Examination Period. There is no maximum number of exams that the students may sit in this examination period.

Special Examination Period – examination period exclusive for students covered by special benefits provided for in the Academic Regulation of the UC (RAUC), to sit exams concerning curricular units whose assessment the students have failed during the academic year.
