In accordance with the Rector's Dispatch no. 19/2019, from 7th February, the classes and assessment's periods concerning the academic year 2019/2020 are as follows:

In order that each curricular unit may have the same number os weeks in each semester, it is recomended that:
1st semester
- classes from 1st November (Friday) change to the same day of the week in the following week, thus causing the change of the subsequent classes;
- classes from the 14th week must take place in the last week of classes of the 1st semester (between 17th and 20th December).
2nd semester
- classes from 13th April (Monday), 1st May (Friday) change to the same day of the week in the following week, thus causing the change of the subsequent classes;
- classes from the 14th week must take place in the last week of classes of the 2nd semester (between 25th and 30th May).
[1] The beginning of classes for the 1st year of Bachelor's Degree Courses and Integrated Master's Degree Courses may be adjusted to the enrolment and registration's calendar for students admitted in the first phase of the National Contest for Admissions to Higher Education (CNA - Concurso Nacional de Acesso).
[2] The suspension of classes and examinations due to the student festivity "Latada" is only applicable to the Bachelor's Degrees and Integrated Master's Degrees, and the Organizational Units must decide on the best way to reset the classes scheduled for this period.
[3] The period between 1st and 30th September 2020, deemed as special exam period, is only available for defenses of Master's Degree Dissertations/Projects/Internship Reports/Thesis Projects.
[4] The Extraordinary Exam Periods of October and March are aimed at the assessment of students who benefit from the Status provided for in the applicable regulations.
[5] The Rector may authorise exams held outside this period, by means of an adequate justification.
