CECH logo
This page is dedicated to the official CECH logo and the rules governing its use. As a central element of the Centre's visual identity, the logo must be applied consistently and in strict accordance with the rules defined here, ensuring its correct use in all contexts — digital, printed or in person. Compliance with these guidelines is mandatory for all CECH researchers.

TERMS OF USE
→ Mandatory funding statement
Whenever the CECH logo is used in events/publications/communications/works/websites/etc. organised or supported by the Centre, it must be accompanied by the following statement:
-
This event/work (choose the correct option) is funded by National Funds through FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P., under the CECH projects: UIDB/00196/2025 and UIDP/00196/2025.
This statement must be visible on all communication and publicity materials for the event (posters, programmes, websites, social media, etc.).
→ Mandatory logos
The CECH logo must always be accompanied by the logo of the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) and of the República Portuguesa (RP).
In most cases, the FCT logo is already incorporated into the CECH logo, so it is usually only necessary to add the RP logo, placed after the CECH logo.
However, in smaller applications, the FCT logo should be included again between the CECH and RP logos to ensure correct visibility and institutional compliance.
If the event takes place at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra (FLUC) or has its support, the FLUC logo should be added immediately after the RP logo.
--
The correct order for presenting the logos is as follows: CECH > FCT > RP > FLUC, followed by the funding acknowledgment statement. This sequence must be strictly observed in all communication and dissemination materials.
At the bottom of this page, you will find logos available for download, as well as ready-made bars — in colour, black and white — including the respective funding reference.
→ Choosing the correct version of the logo
The version of the logo that best suits the background on which it will be applied should be selected to ensure proper readability:
- White background → use the coloured version.
- Light coloured background → use the black version.
- Dark background → use the white version.
→ Resizing and safety margins
When resizing the logo, it is essential to always maintain its proportionality so as to not distort or misconfigure the original format. The logo should not be stretched, compressed, or altered in its proportions.
In addition, the logo file already includes safety margins around the image, ensuring correct reading and preserving its visibility. These margins must be respected, avoiding placing text or other graphic elements too close to the logo itself.
