Synopsis

Old Testament – Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

The sixth and final volume of the Bible in Quetzal's translation contains the five books of the Pentateuch: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. The narrative arc begins with the creation of the world and ends with the arrival of the Israelites in the Promised Land after their enslavement in Egypt. The themes that the Pentateuch presents to its readers touch on the deepest aspects of the human experience of the Divine.

The actions unfold before our eyes, starring Adam, Eve, Cain, Abel, Noah, Abraham and their descendants, until the narrative is taken over by Moses. But above all, it is the God of Israel who reveals himself as the true protagonist of the Pentateuch: God the creator, God of covenants with His people, God who dictates His law.
