She is a visiting researcher at the Centre for Classical and Humanistic Studies of the University of Coimbra, under the supervision of Professor Carmen Isabel Leal Soares, working as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Food Heritage: Cultures and Identities at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra, and an external researcher at the same Centre.
She holds a PhD in Education, Art and Cultural History from the Presbyterian University Mackenzie; a Master’s degree in Hospitality from the Anhembi Morumbi University; a Specialization in Teaching in Gastronomy; and a Bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy from the Hotec Educational Group. She has extensive experience in academia as well as in scientific research and review applied to the fields of education, literature, history, culture, social aspects, food, hospitality, and gastronomy. She teaches various curricular subjects that include scientific methodology and the cultural and social history of societal development in gastronomy programs, and she is a specialist researcher in the areas of the History and Culture of Food and Gastronomy in Brazil and worldwide, International Cuisine, and Behavioral Analysis of the Gastronomic Market, since 2006.
Currently, she is a professor and coordinator of the Gastronomy Technology Program at the Presbyterian University Mackenzie, as described above. She is also an Evaluator for the National Higher Education Assessment System (INEP) and an Item Writer for the National Assessment of Student Performance (Enade) Item Bank (INEP). She provides gastronomic consulting services, as well as guidance and diverse academic text and document reviews.
