Welcome Pack

Each Visiting Researcher will receive a Welcome Pack at the beginning of their stay, which includes:

  • Visiting Researcher Card (for use in university canteens);
  • Credentials to access the UC Wi-Fi network;
  • Merchandising (pad, map).

Upon arrival at the UC, the Visiting Researcher must:

  • Collect their Welcome Pack from the DRI desk (in the Student Hub), after receiving a note;
  • Email SASUC to activate the card for use in the canteens;
  • Set up the Wi-Fi network using the provided credentials.

Important notes:

  • The credentials provided by the DRI are temporary, valid only during the research period specified in the registration;
  • The researcher's card provided by DRI can be used to access buildings and/or laboratories, if requested by the person in charge at the respective department or research centre;
  • Whenever possible, the researcher's details should be sent to the DRI at least one month in advance, to ensure that the Welcome Pack (including credentials and card) is available upon arrival at the UC. In the case of researchers applying for visas, this should be done even earlier.
