About ISAC

See how far you can go!

ISAC is a transcontinental mobility project for undergraduate and doctorate students, post-doctorate researchers and academic staff. The project is funded by the European Commission and is being developed within the scope of the Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window – a mobility and cooperation scheme in the area of higher education - launched by Europe Aid cooperation Office and implemented by the Executive Agency Education, Audiovisual and Culture.

The University of Coimbra is the coordinating institution of the ISAC project, which gathers a group of 20 prestigious universities, 10 from Brazil and 10 from Europe. Brazilians will travel to Europe and Europeans will travel to Brazil to study, to do research and to teach within the three thematic fields of study: Education and Teacher Training, Engineering and Technology and Social Sciences covered by the project: .

ISAC aims at creating a group of internationally well-prepared young women and men with international experience in a multicultural context and other transversal competences, motivated to face the challenges of the global world and by giving those working in higher education the opportunity to improve their skills and share good practices to support student and staff mobility in a sustainable way. By doing this, ISAC will also be enhancing, in the medium term, the political, cultural, educational and economic links between the European Union and Brazil.
