Public participation and the Public Prosecutor's Office highlighted at the IV International Meeting on Environmental Democracy

The IV International Meeting on Environmental Democracy: Democratic Transitions was held on 23 and 24 October 2025, in a hybrid format at the Varandim room in the Palácio dos Melos.

This is the fourth edition of the meeting, jointly organized by the UCILeR and the Center for Studies in Environmental Democracy at UFSCar (CEDA). Previous editions were held alternately in Coimbra and São Luís, in Maranhão.

These meetings aim to analyze concrete experiences of democratic participation, promote debate on the role of the various entities responsible for this matter (this year, particularly the Public Prosecutor's Office), and explore new, more effective participation methodologies.
