The PhD Programme in Economics and Finance provides advanced scientific training in the fields of Economics and Finance, with a strong emphasis on rigorous, innovative and high-impact academic and professional analysis.
Developed as a joint initiative of the University of Coimbra and the University of Minho, the programme benefits from a highly qualified faculty with internationally recognised research productivity, ensuring excellence in teaching, supervision and scientific output.
Research activities are carried out within CeBER (Centre for Business and Economics Research) and/or NIPE (Centre for Research in Economics and Business Policies) — both rated Very Good by the Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation (FCT) — in a collaborative, international and frontier-oriented research environment.
