Presentation of the Study on Gender Stereotypes in Professional Choices

The Commission for Equality at Work and Employment (CITE) will present the Study on gender stereotypes in professional choices – Mutual Learning Session of the EEA Grants Igual Pro Project – Professions have no gender, which will take place on April 27 , in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, located at Av. doctor Dias da Silva 165, 3004-512, in Coimbra, and also the possibility to watch the transmission online.
The Project “Igual Pro - Professions don't have gender” is an action-research project with the main objective of combating sexual segregation in the educational and vocational choices of girls and boys and the consequent segregation of professional choices, through the deconstruction of stereotypes of gender associated with the different areas of study and respective professions, with special focus on training areas where there is effective segregation between girls and boys.
